Nice to see some new material surfacing from Michaela Melian, member of F.S.K., longtime audiovisual collaborator with Move D and hotshot art lecturer. This new 12″ compiles two tracks in which Melian fuses her slow, exceedingly jaunty drum machine pulses against an incongruously lavish sounding instrumental ensemble (most of which is made up of Melian multitracking her own performances). The B-side features a vocal, which resultantly sounds rather more world-weary and bedraggled than the symphonic A, but the whole endeavour feels like a unique excursion into Bavarian pop weirdness.
